Course Instructor: 邱銘心 Ming-Hsin Phoebe Chiu

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Human Information Interactions (HII) is an advanced graduate-level course, with particular interests in the philosophy and methodology of conducting HII research. In addition to the strong emphasis on the theoretical foundation of HII research, current issues such as online and collaborative information seeking will be explored. Students are advised to gain adequate knowledge of basic information behavior research and phenomenon prior to taking the course. The course will be conducted by means of reading, discussion, invited talks, and site visit in a seminar setting. In the end of the course, students will be given an opportunity to conduct a study of their interests.
