Domain analysis / 領域分析 (information science)

1. 在資訊系統開發與管理的學科中，領域分析被視為一種協助解決系統開發與設計問題的方法。例如：領域分析是一種確認與組織[系統的]問題類別，即問題的領域(範圍)，的知識過程；以助於描述與解決問題。是為了分析軟體再用性(reuse)問題而發展的，形成許多關於領域分析的理論與實作，並發展出以上定義。(Arango & Prieto-Diaz, 1991)
2. 另一種領域分析定義，認為是在研究中考慮資訊科學中社會性因素的一種取向與做法。例如：思想社群或論述社群作為知識領域(knowledge-domain)，即社會分工之一部份，進行研究分析。Hjorland 依循這種定義，引入資訊科學研究，希望資訊研究能進一步探索知識的社會、生態和內容。(Hjorland, B., & Albrechtsen, H. ,1995)¹⁾
