第一章 由標準化原則到術語的科學研究：術語學研究的新方向

• 傳統術語學：相信需要標準化，才能改善特定語言的傳播問題。
  The traditional schools believed in the need for standardisation in order to improve special language communication.(p.1)

傳統術語學基於一些未被質疑的前提：

• 概念在充分條件下，是能被定義清楚的。
  that concepts are clear-cut and can be defined on the basis of necessary and sufficient conditions,
• 詞彙的一義性(univocity)是意義明確的基礎，才能達到有效的傳播。
  that univocity of terms is essential for unambiguous and therefore effective and efficient communication,
• 比喻性的語言與意義變化與術語學無關，術語學限於討論稱名問題。
