多層次學術出版模式：著重教職員的偏好、研究時間、合作與學科領域。

資料：使用Changing Academic Professions (CAP)的資料，此資料是Carnegie Foundation 1992 研究的後續。收錄南韓148個機構中的900個個案。經排除教育與工藝訓練性質的機構、以及只有單獨個案的機構，最終由99個機構中選出787個個案。

發現：
* 教職員偏好能出版的研究 \\ The study found that faculty preference for research affects research publishing. 
* 教職員與國際同儕合作，是學術出版的關鍵因素。\\ faculty collaboration with international peers is a critical factor in academic publishing. 
* 雖然研究時間的耗費與出版相關，在教學上的時間耗費與教職員的研究並沒有衝突效應。
* 由機構層次分析，機構性的目標導向與機構使命會影響學術出版。但主要的學術出版決定性因素，在於教職員個人層次。
