* 背景: 引用頻次(citation frequency)被認為是學術出版評量 的 有偏差替身。然而，以往此類研究都是基於引文的小樣本 且 基於顯著性的假設檢驗。
* 研究設計: 以資訊理論架構，評估不同生態學期刊的引用頻次預估。
* 研究假定: 引文頻次的計次預估(如，作者數、文章長度)只使用了總體的一小部份。
* 資料源: 17,363 articles published between 1991 and 2007 in six ecological journals indexed in Thompson-ISI database (http://www.webofscience.com): Oecologia, Oikos, Journal of Animal Ecology, Journal of Ecology, Ecology and Ecology Letters.
* 結論: 偏差在生態學引文中並不大。但若想持續深度量化的研究文章科學相關性，必須進一步了解文章為何被引用。
