* 數量與性別
** 從 1991-2009，博士數量增長2.5倍，特別是非醫學博士背景女性博士的增加。
** 2006 獲得瑞典生物醫學博士學位數量與美國的比較，標準化人口數是 2.5倍, 標準化GDP的 3.5倍。但與荷蘭相同。
** 女性非醫學背景與男性醫學背景的博士候選人，較容易通過女性論文評審委員。
* 論文與研究發表
** 比起有醫學背景的女性，非醫學背景的女性較少在獲得博士以後用英文發表。
** 論文中作者數量的中位數，與15-20年前相比，增加1(由4到5)。
* 國際化；
** 1991 有 38% 國外論文評審委員。2003 升到 53% 但 2009 降回 42%。美國英國居多，但澳洲有2%。
** 與海外研究團隊合作良好。
