== 圖書館五律 (Five laws of library science) 

由印度圖書館學家 [[:people:R. S. Ranganathan]]所提出。共有五點:

* Books are for use. [書貴有用]
* Every person his book. [人人有其書]
* Every book its reader. [書有其讀者]
* Save the time of the reader. [節省讀者時間]
* The library is a growing organism. [圖書館是成長的有機體]

根據原文(Ranganathan, 1931)，五律更像是一份針對印度公共圖書館事業如何現代化的謅議。因此其中的五項法則(laws)就都是管理方面的議題(含公共政策、策略、行銷與推廣、組織管理)。並且主要針對印度當時的情境做出規劃與建議。雖然就書本的標題看來是圖書館學的理論基礎，但實際上並不適合。

但其中有許多針對公共圖書館系統與機構，在政策、管理與經營上的看法與洞見，仍有若干參考價值。
